So I might be driving 12 hours for a car show. We`re taping up the front of the cars, but not sure what else we`ll be doing since we`re not familiar with the area. Worse case is that I`ll be taping + QD`ing the rest of the car.

I don`t have much experience with QD`s and I`ve only tried NXT.

So what supplies and suggestions do you guys have for me? I`m planning on using a combo of QD`s if necessary to get my car back in to show shine.

I`m looking for (please list OTC alternatives as well since I might not get this stuff in time):

    1) Best Cleaning QD for when we arrive

    2) Absolute Best Shine & Wet look (depth too but I doubt it with QD) w/ Pinnacle Souveran

    3) Good & cheap QD for Claying (friend suggested just using PB`s SSS soap diluted)

Any other supplies I might need? I have Meg Hot tire shine, PB wheel sealant.

    Will be going over:

SSR2, SSR1, RMG, EX-P, Souveran, might add Natty`s Blue on a Black car.

Three letters: ONR (optimum no rinse wash).

Just try to find some water (at least 2 gallons)

And then I would top ONR off using a regular QD of your choice as well.
Converted over to ONR & now Lowes grout sponge. Protected by 3M clear bra, and one layer of Zaino is all you need!

+1 for ONR (Opt. No Rinse)

You can bring a few gallons of water with you and mix the ONR at QD strength as well.

As far as spray waxes, Pinnacle Spray Souveran (although Im not impressed), Optimum Car Wax (spray), Pinnacle Crystal Mist, Zaino Z8 (my choice, though, not over souveran).

The problem with souveran, IMO, is when you wash it, you wash away a good portion of the look/shine/wetness/depth.

I`d take four gallons of distilled water, a 5 gallon bucket, a spray bottle, lots of MF`s, ONR, and your wax. When you get there, do a *very* thorough ONR wash, then apply a fresh layer of Souveran. If you need to clay a few areas that didn`t come clean with the ONR, then use ONR at QD strength as clay lube. Mix up a second batch of ONR for touching up the interior, etc.

Cool thanks for the suggestions guys, I`ll definitely be using the ONR, and maybe the Souveran if I have time. If I don`t, do you guys have any suggestions for QD over Souveran on a black show car?

To add to my post.. I like to use ONR although it leaves a nice glossy shine, I still top it off with either Z-6, Z-8, or even Z-CS. I just like my car to be slick

    ....as with most Nubas......lol

A 1 gal sprayer and NRWS would fit the bill.......and ID & GE.

Whats OID, NRWS, ID, GE? Sorry I haven`t kept up with autopia lately. How is the QD+ from PB, I like the fact that it has some nuba?
