Question for those using Zaino Z7 wash

How many caps of Z7 do all use in a 5 gallon bucket? On the bottle it says 2-3 cap fulls per gallon. I find that 10 or 11 provides more than enough suds and lubricity. It`s an awesome car wash, but it just doesn`t last long enough. After 5 or 6 washes I have used it on, I`ve got around a 1/2 bottle or less left. Time to stock up some more. I wish Sal would sell the Z7 in a 64 oz bottle.

I resorted to Duragloss wash as a replacement. If you haven`t tried it you might want to.

I use two caps per gallon and usually use 3 gallons of water. Oh and give it time on the 64 oz containers of Z7 *wink* Maybe even Z6!

Something else I just thought of is that the condition of your water will also play a part. You may be able to use less wash than recommended.

That would be nice. For now, I`ll just have to get a few bottles at the same time.

The house water is filtered, but the outside faucet water is not. I use the insdie water to fill my wash soltion and grit guard buckets. The outside water is just typical city water, not the greatest.

I recommend getting some kind of measuring device so you can properly measure out your chemicals. Not only would you be measuring more accurately but you`ll save on using excess products. Plus it`s less messy than pouring into the small cap. In general, most car soap have a dilution of 1 oz to 1 gallon.

I complained about this also, my distributor (we in NJ can`t buy from Zaino) quoted me 12 bottles (1 case) for $100, or a little over the price of 11...said if I wanted a multi-case order to talk to Sal, lol. I mix it up about the same as you do, but I don`t think I use 5 gallons worth per wash; I usually use it in a foam gun.

I measured the Zaino cap and I got about 1/3 oz.

Yeah, but based on the other "bulk" pricing, that 64oz container will probably be at the price of 60oz.

I have no idea what pricing would be. Just heard a rumor that Z6 and Z7 are being considered in half gallon sizes.

I don`t thinks suds are really necessary-but they look cool. Duragloss is a good bulk option to replace Z7-especially if you have a local CarQuest that stocks it.

They should make then in Gallon sizes aswell !!!

No Carquests around here. I`ll just order a few extras of Z7 to hold me over for now.
