I have a Scion tC and am looking to detail the engine for a show coming up this weekend.

I plan on using Meguiar`s Exterior Trim Detailer for all the rubber/plastic components.

I have a carbon fiber engine cover that I wanted to shine up. What can I use? I`ve read people saying to treat carbon fiber as if it were paint, but since it gets real hot in the engine bay, I`m not sure if it`s safe to wax it. Can someone provide input here?

Also, what can I use on the supercharger? The shaft is real dirty and I was thinking of using an all metal polish. Would this be okay or do you guys recommend something else?

Thanks in advance! I`ll be sure to take pics after I`m done.

since you treat the carbon fiber like paint, top it with a sealant.

i really just want it to be super glossy. so no wax then? the sealant will be enough to achieve the extra shine?

Either might have a hard time with underhood temps. But the wax will certainly give up before a sealant.
