    Hello everyone,

I used to be on here all the time. I dont have the time to try to research all the info like i used to. So i am gonna ask you guys.

I Just want to know what the best polish would be for this car. I already have the clay and all the zaino products. I am just not sure which polish is zaino friendly.

I read some info on the z-pc and was not to impressed with the hazing i heard about. I also was wodering how hard the paint is on a s550? All info is appreciated.

Oh yeah before i forget what pads should i use with the polish as well. I have a PC.

    Thanks

ZPC with a PC and a white pad = no hazing. It will only correct minor swirls, though. You could try a orange pad and finish with a white/gray pad. You`ll get better correction with a 4" pad than a 6 1/5" pad. No need to wright off ZPC just yet. Plus, ZPC is friendly with all Zaino products.

I personally think ZPC is pretty versatile. But if you find it to be too mild Menzerna IP or SIP are good choices. ZPC is nice as a finishing polish because it leaves a clean surface for Zaino to bond to.

Prima Swirl is a great product. Use it with an orange pad then finish with a white pad.

    Dear Racsos,

The best wax that you can used is Zymol Concours glaze. The Zymol Concours Glaze will prove that you don`t have to own a show car to give your vehicle that "Show Car Shine." The Zymol Concours Glaze is a unique 47% carnauba formula which provides better protection from the outdoor elements and paint corrosion

The exclusive balance of both white and yellow carnauba wax (90% white, 10% yellow) gives an observable increase in both depth and clarity

Other people like Wolfgang Fzion Estate Wax better, but I prefer Zymol because you can use it with Zaino or any other products.

    Dear Louis aka william:,

I dont think that the unique 47% carnauba formula which provides better protection from the outdoor elements and paint corrosion and yellow carnauba wax (90% white, 10% yellow) gives an observable increase in both depth and clarity, is going to get rid of the swirls in your s550.

I am partial to polishes formulated for ceramiclear - ZPC might do the job, but WG finishing glaze 3.0 or 106ff *will*. They are pretty oily though, so make sure to follow with ZAIO.

I honestly don`t know if I really need polish and use the pc to remove the swirl marks. They are so light and in a very small area of the car. The only time you noticed them is when the sun shines on it. I was more thinking of using a wax, like The Zymol Concours Glaze.

    Thank you

Here is a black S65 that cleaned up nice with SIP/Orange.

I followed with ultrafina, but you can follow with ZPC/white and be ready for zaino.

Here is a S63 that required more then SIP.

It appears that the defects where just a little deeper on the S63, but it took much more polishing to get the surface 100%.

The ceramiclear as noted above is on the hard side. Even with SIP it will take some time to fully break the polish down with a PC.

When using ZPC as a final polish with a white LC pad:

    1. Spritz a little Z6 on the pad

    2. Apply 3-4 small pea sized dots to the pad.

    3. Work no larger then a 2`x2` section.

    Hi Bryan,

I looked at both pictures of the S65 and the S63 AMG Mercedes Benz. The swirl marks are very little and in a small part of my car. They`re not deep at all and I`m not sure if I should use a polish or maybe just wax the car. I was also told to use The Zymol Concours Glaze.

    What`s your opinion?

I like Zaino and all, but don`t think you will get the results you are looking for with ZPC.

08 MB`s have ceramiclear and are extremely hard so you`ll need something with a lot more bite to even put a dent it in.

If you`ve done this before and depending on how bad the swirls are I would say go with a heavy cut compound like M105 or Menz PG and then follow up with SIP and then go with the ZPC before you seal it with Z5/Z2.
