So I have noticed my cars paint is not what you would say showroom new anymore. It has sat outside since I bought it in Dec 2004 and has been a daily driver ever since. Well now that I have a garage I see the damage inflicted upon my paint from being outside every day for almost 4 years now and I have a game plan to bring it back. On hand I had some 3M swirl and scratch remover that I thought I would try out and some Mothers wax just to protect the experimental areas. I wasn`t expecting to much out of the 3M stuff but it did decent with about 7 coats (crazy I know). I finished up the areas with 2 coats of wax and now I am really stoked about getting some professional items like a Porter Cable 7424 polisher later on.

Here are some before and afters all polished by hand.

    After:

Here is the oxidation on the rear spoiler... I never knew it was this bad, you can see where I placed painters tape to mask a section off.

I have a lot of work to do when I get my Porter Cable and accessories.

If you`re seriously considering the Menzerna PC kit, then use just that. Its a great line which will give you excellent results. Good luck and happy polishing. Hope to see the end results soon.

I would suggest that those scratches didn`t arise just from being outside but are induced from washing..

After researching I can almost guarantee it was the wool mitten I have used over the years. I switched to the grout sponge everyone is raving over and I will NEVER go back to the wool mitts EVER again.

if you`re going to get the menzerna kit, get this one instead and you`ll have to buy a few more white/orange pads and the PC seperately... Menzerna polishes for ceramic clear coat paint, Nano polish, super intensive, Lake Country pads, Show car kit
