Preparing for Overspray

I just started working in a shipyard and there will be issues of overspray as the ships are painted.

I can`t park far enough away and I`m not sure a car cover is something I want to deal with especially when it starts raining, etc. I haven`t written off the possibility of a car cover but I would probably cringe everytime I put it on a car that wasn`t spotless.

My question is whether there is something specific that I can put on the car that will help when I have to clay bar the spray off?

I`ve been very happy with the Klasse twins and topping it with P21s in general. I`m thinking that this will definitely help with the removal of the overspray. Just wondering if someone out there might have a different suggestion.

are you able to put a car cover over your car at work?

I`m in Portland, OR and it`ll start raining soon enough. You can`t keep the car clean and the cover will probably start trapping some of the dirt on the inside and do it`s best impression of sandpaper. There`s also the possibility of mildew/smell when storing the wet cover in the trunk day in and day out.

It looks like claying is the lesser of two evils at the moment. Just want to minimize the amount of elbow grease required as much as possible.

Thought about that one also. The job will go to May/June of next year. There will probably be 3 times between now and then that I`ll have to worry about overspray.
