repairing dents

i am thinking about buying an old 51 willys jeep.... the body is pretty rough.....what is the best way to repair small dents? Also what are the advantages and disadvantages of bondo? can bondo do a good joob? are there any other products that are better than bondo? as you can probably tell i am very new to this and just starting to learn, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks
