I don`t know of any car washes that are safe between coats of SG if you have to drive it. I opted to rinse with water and QD and wipe down with microfiber. As long as nothing with wax gets in between coats you`ll be fine. Don`t worry about missing spots, you would be surprised how much will spread. If you try using SG on a side or back window, you will see how much product is spread that you can`t see on your paint. Less is always better with synthetics. You are gonna love Klasse after the second and third coats and especially after a topcoat of carnauba.

Tom, I put #7 on top of 2XSG and then topped it with Platinum. Still beading like crazy today, and it`s been 2 months. Give it a go, I think you`ll like it.

I`ve washed and even clayed between layers of SG. I don`t think the carwash can harm it, after 24 hours. And I have never had any bonding issues, as long as I didn`t wax in between.

My biggest problem is that I have so many variations on different panels of each car that I can`t remember which one is which, and sometimes have to start with AIO all over!

I took pics, I`ll post them this eve.

In the sunlight: Klasse is very unforgiving. My car is a `97, and it wasn`t well cared for for a number of years. And there is some micro marring from the AIO/SG application. I`ll 7 it this eve, and Souv it.

    Hey Tom,

The AIO and SG didn`t do much for ya as far as swirl hiding? It sounds like you`re talking about them adding marring and swirls?! Was this after the SG? How about just with the AIO on it? Thoughts on that?

Just out of curiosity, what combo has been your best for producing a swirl free finish?

I`ve also noticed you have the S100 now as well as the Souv. I`m a huge S100 fan, but haven`t tried the Souv. yet. Any comparison for the two? Price non-factor.

    Thanks

    Hey, Jared!

The added micros are from my process; an insect on the applicator? Dust particle? Remnant of the DACP or IP? They`re minor, but there. This is after the SG. I couldn`t see them in the garage at night, only in the direct sunlight this morning, and they are consistent with the application strokes. NBD, I know how to remove them, but they`re there.

The more permanent stuff, the acid rain marks and pores, and the true scratches, are more visible. They shine like a sono```un, but they are more visible. It`s one of those things where I`m looking for them, y`know?

My best process for as swirl free as I can get is DACP and cutting pad, IP and polishing pad, FP and soft polishing pad. After that, its, how few swirls can I introduce by waxing? I have a theory that Meg`s #7 not only uses its oils to fill somewhat, but also to lubricate the surface and help induce fewer swirls. My most swirl-free final product is the Meguiar`s 7/20/26, then Souveran.

I bought the S100 yesterday, but haven`t tried it yet. One thing, the Souveran is more refined carnuba than the S100; the Souveran is white carnuba, the S100 is yellow carnuba (like #26). But, if they look the same I won`t care about that.

It looks pretty good, I`d say . The digital resolution won`t show the micros I mentioned (the dark lines on the hood are the power lines overhead), and even with a film camera they`d be overwhelmed by the sunlight. All in all, I`m pleased. AIO/SG is a really good looking synth.

Reflection shot: you guys with the black cars have no idea how hard these are to get with a red single stage!

I`m beat. I`ll work on it tomorrow, or the next day. Then, Saturday, the supercharger gets hooked up!

From my understanding, #7 will remove SG.

Which applicator used for which product does seem like it matters for klasse. For AIO, a terry or microfiber applicator left hazing that consisted of fine scratches that could only be removed with SMR. I only use a foam app with AIO. As for SG, I seem to get less hazing when I use a microfiber applicator.

I`ve noticed that my car looked different with klasse than it did with other products. I can`t tell a difference in look between zaino, s100, souveran, and vanilla moose (w/ or w/o topper), but klasse definitely made the car stand out in a way the other products didn`t. It seemed to make the car look darker.. I definitely like it.

I still had hazing that was visible at very specific angles in bright sunlight, but it wasn`t anywhere near as bad as before I used Sonus QD. I used to see it easily on the doors and c-pillars, but now I really have to look for them, and they only sometimes show up on the hood.
