I have meg #83, 80, Klasse AIO, HGSG, and the PC 7424.

so far, this is what I`ve come up with after reading the faqs and articles...

    wash/dry car.

start with the DACP + sonus orange pad, working it in evenly until most of the polish is gone.

wipe off the reside w/ a clean microfiber towel. (use quick detailer? or not?)

next use the green pad and #80, work it the same way as the DACP...

wipe off resedue with another clean mf towel.

then use my blue pad and the AIO... working it the same way as the other 2.

then wipe down with mf again, and procees with the HGSG

does this all sound right? am i missing anything?

Also, what should I use to apply the HGSG?

Sounds pretty good except for a couple of things.

    1. I think you should clay after the wash.

    2. #80 has diminishing abrasives and breaks down fairly quickly, thus you won‚„t work it as long as DACP. One way to tell that you‚„ve worked #80 long enough is that the color turns clear (or sometimes pink). #80 will leave a nice shine and finish on your paint.

Here`s a link on applying SG that you may want to look at:

why clay if the dacp will take care of much more than what the clay will do?

That`s a common (and good) question. Clay will remove surface contamination from your paint surface. It‚„s much better to get it off before you polish than to risk having it get ground around while you polish. Another example is if a particle is in the pore of your paint clay will lift it out, while polish may just ‚“chop‚ it off at the surface. It will also make polishing easier.
