Altima Corrected

I had an Altima to correct today. The owner is really funny, she dropped it off an apoligized cause she didn`t vacuum it before. I worked on this car about 6 months ago and the paint was in great shape. Sure enough I got it this time and she washed it regularly and "very carefully"

It had water spots and light swirls throughout.

It was fairly cold today so I foamed it up, washed it down and brought it right inside. I clayed it with some DI gentle clay I recently got. I like it alot, has great elasticity and holds up great. I then taped it up...

I taped off a section on the roof to see what I would need to get this sucker corrected...

I am still working on my photography skills, I have been on a no flash kick recently...

I need to learn from someone better to really learn how to capture the damage on paint...

I also recently got some Cobra Indigo Polishing Cloths, they really are a nice MF for removing compund...

As usual I pulled the wheels to do the wheel wells and inside of the the wheels easier....Sure enough, my fool proof plan backfired. :down

I pulled it out, cleaned it out and prepped the hole and plugged the hole...

The head was worn down from her riding on it so long

OK back to acutal detail work

Unfortunatly the fiance was not around to help with this one....Too busy at the Mall :angry So I had to do the wheels and interior on my own....I did bring the wheels outside to get them cleaned up....

Normally I will have the wheels off the car outside and be able to soak the wheel wells with some de-greaser and really scrub them and hose them down....Due to the cold I decided to try steaming the wheel wells. They came out fairly well, Maybee not quite as well as the standard way but I was happy with them...

I moved on, I applied opti-seal to the entire car using a foam applicator. It left some streaks and I know I applied it THIN!!

I didn`t mind cause I was gonna go over the entire car with Optimum Car Wax. Yes that is the Rithickulous MF...I love that sucker it is soooo soft and soo fluffy...

I finished up by dressing the tires with Opti Bond tire gel and gave it a final once over with a MF

Oh yeah and the fiance came back and got the interior done....:secret I swear I didn`t wait to do the interior last...

imo though, a few of those pics in the last bunch are begging for some wheel well dressing to really set it off.

At least you had a garage to do the work in yesterday... it was freakin cold out!!!

Where did you get that little tool to plug the hole in the tire? What is the plug material made out of?

I did dress the front wells, but the backs are a felt like material, I sprayed some 303 on there, but didn`t do much :nixweiss After pics were taken

Yeah it was, I had to run an extra extension cord from inside to run an extra heater out there....And now since its raining again today I am stuck with this car in my garage....
