First of all let me say thank you tall all you autopians. Before I found this site I though I was doing a great job keeping my cars clean and shiny. Boy was I ever wrong. I have learned a ton from lurking the past few months and I have you to thank.
I picked up my Pilot about 10 months ago and have been doing my best to clean her without introducing swirls. Well I haven`t been completely successful but for a car that is nearly a year old she is in pretty good shape.
I don`t have a PC and probably couldn`t justify the cost to my better half. I have been washing with GC and a lamb`s wool mit, drying with a MF and, up until today, waxing with with GC paste.
I was considerring buying Zaino or Meg`s professional line, until I started reading testimonials and seeing the result of NXT.
I finally found the Tech Wax at Wally World yesterday so I picked up a bottle and a bottle of the Quick Wax.
This morning I went about my novice detail.
1. Washed with GC.
2. Clayed with Mother`s clay.
3. Washed once again to remove the clay residue.
4. Dried with a MF (I don`t remember where I picked it up).
5. Applied one coat of NXT with the foam applicator from the box and removed with another MF.
I haven`t had a chance to dress the wheels yet but plan to later.
Sorry I didn`t take any before pics. I`ll have to make multiple posts because I don`t know how to post more than one pic per post, sorry.
