This is a kick arse product. It works great on tires and dirty wheels. Cuts crud most other wheel cleaners leave behind. Not sure I`d use it on a regular basis on clearcoated wheels.

Yes, that`s it
Although it mentions "brake dust", it doesn`t say anything about using it on wheels. I realize of course you could overspray your wheels. My point is it doesn`t seem they are recommending it for wheels. In the Q&A on the Griot`s page, they kind of deflect a question about "is this product safe for all wheels?" by answering "it is safe for all tires. for wheels we recommend our wheel cleaner..."
Always wondered about it. Probably a great tire cleaner!

Anyone tried it compared to Mother`s? That`s my gold standard so far.
Disclaimer, the first set of wheels I used it on were chrome. It worked really well. The next set were clearcoated but I didn`t let it dwell very long. Just a quick spray and wash. No visible damage to the clearcoat.
Doesnt hold a candle to TufShine or the best Ive used, 303 T&R.
Tried using it 3 times and after scrubbing showed white. This was in prep for a tire coating. Hit a forth time with 303 and brown came back.
Good for tires that are maintained well but i would just by the other stuff by the gallon.
And anyone doesnt know by now, I love to support Griots as I live 25 mins from Their Flagship store.
This is one product I would not buy again. It is a decent product but there are better out there that are more economical.

Did this come up in that other "best tire cleaner thread"? I don`t remember it being mentioned...price point seems good for the spray bottle compared to Tuf Shine, doesn`t seem to be avail in gallons...I might give it a whirl, though. Was it here or at AGO that we had a member that worked at the parent company to 303...he sure came through when he said they were trying to develop Autopian products for 303, I haven`t looked at their line for a while, they have a lot of stuff now.
EDIT: If you didn`t mention it here, you should: Tire Cleaning
I prefer the Meguiars Non-Acid Wheel and Tire cleaner. FREAKIN WORKS GREAT ON BOTH.

The Back To Black one? JEEEEEZUS I love that stuff, if it doesn`t clean as well as Tuff Shine it`s really damn close. And the fact you don`t have to rinse, you can just wipe it off is awesome. I`d kill for Mothers to sell this in gallons. I`ve never seen another spray on, scrub then wipe off wheel cleaner.
So that 303 tire cleaner has an SDS available, the reportable active ingredient is Diethylene glycol monobutyl ether (112-34-5). I guess that`s not the worst chemical, although in general I think butyl ethers are not the greatest, I think they use them in floor strippers. Has anybody been able to get an SDS for the Tuf Shine cleaner?
