I seen a video not long ago and I can`t remember where I had seen it, but the guy cleaned the wool pad with a wire brush to remove loose wool fur so there is less of a mess and no shedding. I am not sure if you guys have seen it.
If you see it, DO NOT do that. If a loose bristle gets caught in the wool you will have severe trouble and problems.

I bought a boat kit from CMA and they had a wire brush in the kit, just like you get at Lowes or Home Depot to scrape paint with. They even had a little instruction booklet showing a guy using that on a wool pad - just looked wrong to me. Rydawg brought up an excellent point (pun intended) one loose wire in that wool and you`ll cuss yourself for gettin outta bed that day.
It`s amazing on some peoples bright ideas:think2 Ummm no good can come from this.

I`m really glad a wire brush was mentioned as a no-no, somewhere along the line I might have considered using one. Up front it sounds good, till you think about it.
I take it that the spur Tom gave me the link for will work on wool and foam, I just like to be sure about things.
Thanks guys, Change
Change, where do you find EDGE wool pads?
Thx.
