pamphlets are nice if your sitting at a doctors office.
if your going door to door, get some custom doorhangers made up
If it`s legal in your area to hang up material on people`s private property (instead of mailing one through the post office which is legal).Originally Posted by Five Star
Personally, I don`t answer fliers like that stuffed in my mailbox, hanging on my door or rolled up in a tube and stuck in the porch railing handle. It`s rather tacky in my opinion and a nuisance to receive something that 99.8% of the time, I don`t want. I`ll leave that to chimney sweepers and chinese take out joints.
When some one calls me and schedules a detail (word of mouth referral or my pamphlet / card), I leave a couple with them and they hand them off to other interested people. I also keep some in the car and give them out. Also at my local train station and banks, there is an area where businesses can leave their pamphlet advertising. Routinely, people ask me for my pamphlets to hand to out.
It`s a way to advertise my weekend warrior business in a controlled, effective and sophisticated manner (I consider my flier to be superior to the few that float around my town).
