Another new guy here - in Perth.
I`ve just bought a new car (guard`s red) and it`s just covered in fine swirl marks in a circular motion. I noticed them tonight under a dim incandescent light in the garage! Under sunlight they are a lot worse especially with all the curves.
So, I`m sorting thru the posts and deciding what to do. The service manager at the dealer says they will remove them and I`d like a pro to do it so I can concentrate on cleaning and sealing/waxing. But I`m also afraid they`ll let whoverer did this touch my car again - sigh.

On the Orbital question, I guess you need to consider which brand will suit from the units available locally or whether you want to go down the path of importing from the US and using a step down transformer. I have the Hitachi myself which does a reasonable job. The only advice is, don`t go for a cheapie as it will likely disappoint.
Heading towards "obsessed" - Got Orbital, been to my Detailing Workshop and now understand Orbital & Clay
As for orbitals, I had a go with a festool and really enjoyed it
I also have a PC but not got the adaptor yet
