(gentle music) - Negotiating change and loss is no easy endeavor. So I know that by watching this course, you're already making important decisions and taking important steps to deal with feelings of grief and discomfort in this time of change and loss. I'm glad that I can be part of your journey. I'm Dr. Joan Rosenberg. I'm a psychologist, a graduate psychology professor at Pepperdine University, and the author of the book, "90 Seconds to a Life You Love." Along with my personal understanding of change and of loss, I've journeyed professionally with thousands to help them more effectively handle these experiences and stay engaged in life. Now our collective experience of the COVID-19 pandemic and simultaneous economic downturn has thrust all of us into dealing with countless changes, multiple losses, and subsequent grief. The ideas and strategies that I will share with you in this course will help you understand the many faces of change, loss, and grief, and help you experience, move through, and express difficult feeling, and choose to lean into what more fully gives you life.
