Create and share learning paths

- [Instructor] Another great option for curating and sharing content on LinkedIn Learning is to create learning paths. Learning paths are similar to collections in that you're curating and sharing content. However, a learning path is a set of videos, courses, and resources that you expect learners to consume, and usually in a sequential order. Right now, I'm going to navigate to my library by going up to the content tab at the top and then selecting library. And in here, I do have one learning path that I created. I'll click here on Solar Product Launch, and as you can see, I created a learning path that looks a lot like a collection. It gives that description, it says who can find it, how much content there is, how many items, the language it's in, and then you do have insights into this into how people are consuming it. Now the difference is that down here you'll notice that you have different sections. In other words, the first section is titled Planning the Product Launch. I named it that. Then I added content. And notice the first thing I added was custom content that I added earlier in the course. So this was a piece of content from our organization that I included in here. Now, below that, I have a video from a course inside of LinkedIn Learning called Create the Value Proposition and Position Statement. Next is another one, the Ultimate Playbook for Product Launch, which is a video from a different course. Now as I scroll down, you'll see that we get to the second section. This one is Target Audience, and it's three items. Here, learners would be expected to move now through this Target Audience section by watching these videos. Then we have the next section, Maintaining Momentum, which takes us down to the bottom where you can see the different authors who have contributed in there. So that is a learning path, and you can see it's very similar to a collection, but the only difference is, is this one is in a sequential order. Again, I can share this learning path, and when I do click recommend and assign, you can then recommend it or even assign it. If I put that here, I can assign a due date. I can then enter in who I want to receive it. This could be individual learners, groups, or I could click select all learners if I wanted everybody to. And then down at the bottom, you put a note letting them know why you're recommending that learning path and what they're supposed to do. Now I want to back out of here to show you how you would create your own learning path. Now I'm going to go here and click add. Instead of collection though, Create Learning Path. Again, we can do this by going to the add icon in the upper right at any time and clicking on Create Learning Path. That'll bring us to this popup again, where we decide if we want to create a new one or copy an existing one that you already have. In this case, I'll click create new. Here, you'll have to set this up and design it. Now, this learning path could be for anything. Let's say it is New Employee Orientation. I can add in a description here. After that, I can select the discoverability, I can add the skills that people will get. I can then decide the content language, who added it, and enter tags, again, so we can help to keep track of it. I'll click in orientation and then I'll go ahead and click create. And once I do this, it creates that foundation for the learning path. Now, this is very similar to creating collections, but you'll see the difference. When I scroll down, we now have this ability to create the first section. So maybe I title this section, Welcome to Enigma. And now I could go in and start adding content. This would be a great place to add in some custom content of a message about Welcome to Enigma. I could then go down, though, and search for courses. So maybe I want to have something in here about culture at work. Recharge your energy for peak performance. Now, again, I would put a ton of strategy and thought into creating these learning paths so that they are something that you want your learners to consume. Here, just to add something, I'll click Healthy Hybrid Work Cultures. We'll add that and you'll see that will be in here. Anytime, then, we can click add section, and it will create that second section. So for the learning paths, you can create multiple sections and have them in order. Inside of each of the sections, you can include videos, chapters, courses, custom content, and things that the user will then be able to access right inside of there. Again, when you're done, you can click save and publish and it'll ask you who you want to share this out with. So here you could select all learners, send an email or don't send an email, and then send that out. I'm going to close that for now, though. So, take advantage of the collections and the learning path features in LinkedIn Learning. They are great ways to provide your users with resources and engage them in learning about specific topics.
