From the course: Getting Started as a LinkedIn Learning Admin

Insights dashboard

- [Instructor] As an admin, you'll have access to analytics to help you understand how learners are engaging with the content. Right now I'm on my admin dashboard and I'm going to navigate up to the top and go to the insights tab. From here, I want to select dashboard, and this brings me to my insights dashboard. Now, there's a lot of information we can see here. It starts out with the number of total seats, how many are activated total viewers in the past 90 days. Now remember, there's not a lot of data in this account because it is a new account that I'm creating. Now. In here you can see activation rates, activated seats, engagement highlights, so the total number of hours viewed, people logged in, people who viewed content, and the average hours per viewer. You have things down here like the trends of hours viewed over time, how many people have logged in. You can discover what type of content is being watched. Also, the most popular content, so it shows those courses. There's a lot you can learn from this. Now, you'll notice that it said over the last 90 days for a lot of these things, and that's because the filter is set to past 90 days. However, on the left, I can adjust that. I could go past 7 if I wanted, past 30, and it would adjust that. You can also customize that range by clicking there and then entering in a start and end date. I'm going to keep it on past 90 days. Now this is showing the data for everyone in the organization right now, but down below I can also filter that by group. If I click here on select specific groups, I'm able to select a group if I want and isolate it and look at the data for just that group. So you're also able to do that. Now, in this case, I'm going to click back on all. So that's the insights dashboard and it's something I strongly recommend familiarizing yourself with. It will help you to monitor the impact of learning initiatives and then take actions based on that data. To dive deeper and learn more about this feature, I recommend checking out the resource up at the top, up here where it says dashboard, and then learn more. I'll go ahead and click that, and it brings up this article in the help center titled "Review dashboard analytics as a Learning admin" and in here it has a lot of great information on the type of information you can see here and what it means. I recommend checking this out.
