Update master data in Excel
- [Instructor] I've just installed the Master Data Services Add-in for Excel, now it's time to see how we can make it easy to work with Master Data in an Excel workbook. I'm going to start a new blank workbook here, then I'll switch over to the new Master Data tab along the top of the screen. Here we can see all the different tools that were installed with the add-in. You have some tools on the left to connect and load data from the Master Data Services database, we can query the data, we can publish and validate data members, and even build models with entities and attributes. I'm going to come over here to the far left and press the Connect button. Now we don't have any Saved Connections yet so we need to make one. I'll press the New button at the bottom of the screen, then we'll give it a description. I'll call this Products Connection.
