- [Instructor] Even though iPadOS and iOS are very similar, there are many features available on the iPad that take advantage of its larger screen and which aren't available on the iPhone. For example, on the iPhone, you can really only work with one app at a time. Now, you can switch between apps quickly by using the app switcher, which we looked at earlier but you can only have one app on screen at a time. The iPad, on the other hand, has multiple ways to work with multiple apps on screen simultaneously. We'll take a look at these methods in upcoming movies but first, we need to look at the dock. The dock is here at the bottom of the screen. Unlike on iPhones, you can get to the dock even if you're using an app. For example, if I'm browsing in Safari, I can get to the dock with a short swipe up from the bottom of the screen, making it easy to switch to another app without having to first go back to the home screen.
