Share a dashboard or report
- [Gini] Power BI reports and dashboards were meant to be shared. So there are several ways to do it. We saw one earlier, but I'm going to scroll down in my workspace to my Retail Analysis Report and click the share button. I have options here. Who do I want the link to work for? People in my organization, people with existing access, or specific people that I can list. The options in terms of settings are to allow recipients to reshare this report or to give them access to the data set underneath it. When I click apply, I can then enter specific names or email addresses, or because it's everyone in my organization with a link, I can simply copy this link and send it to someone. I can post the link in PowerPoint, post it in a Teams channel, or in a Teams chat. I can click mail and I can email it to someone. I can add a message here if I wish. So whether I'm using email, copying a link, posting in Teams, or placing it in PowerPoint, this link will work for everyone that I send it to…
