Working with dimensions

- Although we may not use dimensions that much in MEP, it's still prudent to cover the topic. Text and dimensions are considered annotations. However, Revit dimensions are a little bit more than that. We're going to use dimensions of both the means to communicate to the person reading our prints and as a way to lay out our geometry. So let's get started. Let's jump into Revit. Under models, we'll go open. Browse to where you're keeping your exercise files. Let's go to Revit_Workflow_Dimensions and click open. In the project browser under mechanical HVAC floor plans, let's go back down to level one demolition. In this area here, we'll just zoom right in on it. And we'll keep picking on this duct work. Now here's what I'd like to do. Let's configure some dimensions. Let's go to the annotate tab. Notice we have a lot of dimension choices to choose from. We can click the dimension down and we can go to the types of dimensions.…
