On the planet Mingy, the situation was critical for the Saiyans. After a brutal attack by Freeza’s soldiers and Dodoria, Bardock’s elite squad was in dire straits.

__ Aaaaaa!! Toteppo screamed, already gravely wounded, as he launched a desperate attack. But with a fatal blow, he fell dead.

Toma, his face bathed in blood, lifted his head and questioned with a sigh:

__ Why? He looked at the enemies who mocked the Saiyans’ imminent death. __ Why you? Why did you come to attack us?

The truth was that even the Saiyans didn’t understand the reason behind Freeza’s soldiers ambushing Bardock’s elite.

__ Haha! Dodoria taunted, approaching Toma, who lay on the ground. __ You Saiyans are so persistent, damn you. But, nevertheless, I’d like you to play with me a little more! He grabbed Toma by the collar and lifted him.

__ Why do you do this? We work for you—why attack us? Toma asked, confused and desperate.

__ You want to know, hahaha! Dodoria revealed, with a cruel smile. __ The truth is, we’re following orders from the Great Freeza. Even if you don’t believe it!

__ What?! What did he say? Toma was stunned.

__ The mighty Freeza said you Saiyans are an obstacle to his goal. Perhaps you annoy him, and that’s why he wants to eliminate you. Understand? Another of Freeza’s soldiers joined in the mockery.

__ You’re lying! We’ve always followed Great Freeza’s orders rigorously. We’ve never done anything against him. We’re loyal to him! Toma shouted, denying the reality before him.

__ Even if you’ve done nothing, you still have to pay! Dodoria was relentless.

__ So, this is the reward we get for working so hard for someone? Toma lamented as Dodoria, satisfied, delivered a devastating blow that sent him sprawling.

When Bardock arrived on the planet Mingy and saw the bodies of his fallen comrades, he murmured:

__ These crazies are back to fighting with great enthusiasm, huh!

__ Well, it seems they’re nearby. When it comes to causing a ruckus, they’re always the first, hmm! He flew rapidly in search of his friends, unaware of the cruel fate Freeza had ordered for his men and childhood companions.
