It's taken a wee while to figure out how to write this post, cause I don't want it to go in a "omg I'm skinnier so life is better" direction, it's more a "I've taken control of my body again and I'm much healthier" kind of thing. Tbh, I never even noticed how much weight I'd gained, I was happy with how I looked, I just wasn't impressed with my fitness levels, and my food habits were gross after coming off a year and a half course of steroids in January. Finally decided to do something about it in June with calorie counting and going out for more walks (the walks were basically in prep for disneyworld, so thanks to King Mickey for giving me the need to get fitter to survive capitalist heaven). 12 weeks of counselling plus finding out I have a wheat intolerance has been the biggest help in getting my shit together (pun massively intended), and now I'm in the process of learning my other trigger foods, and I've started the gym to help get my fitness back up to scratch. It's still a bit of a ways to go, but after 3 years of being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, I finally feel like I have control again! And I feel like not eating wheat has made my chronic fatigue almost vanish, so I've got more brain power for photography and staying a bit more consistent! Anyway, that's it for the personal update, I've got a busy weekend, but I'll be back on the autumnal shenanigans next week!
